MISSION
MISSION
The California Consortium for Bilingual School Psychology (CCBSP) advances equity and justice in education by preparing, supporting, and empowering culturally and linguistically responsive school psychologists to serve multilingual learners. Through collaboration, advocacy, research, and adherence to professional standards, we work to challenge and dismantle systems of oppression, address intersectional inequities, foster systemic change, and promote transformative practices that honor the identities, strengths, and rights of all students and their communities.
VISION
We envision a future where every multilingual learner in California has access to strengths-based, socially just, and culturally affirming psychological services provided by well-prepared bilingual professionals who recognize and address the intersecting systems of power and oppression that impact students’ lives. Guided by a unified network of educators and practitioners, we strive for an educational landscape where liberation, belonging, and opportunity are a lived reality for every multilingual learner.
